Reward and Incentives

  • Teachers are rewarded for good practice and for results through a performance based compensation system.

  • Pay-for Performance is also the vehicle for engaging in discussion about practice, data-drive instruction and improvement.

  • Teachers are supported and rewarded in three main areas:  teaching practices, professional and leadership contributions and student growth.

  • LEAP teachers are eligible for up to 5% increments each year, a much higher percentage than other surrounding public schools.

  • Teachers whose students meet growth and performance goals are eligible for Board bonuses.

  • LEAP strives to provide all teachers and staff with competitive benefits, pension plans and other opportunities that improve well-being.
